They say to be copied is the sincerest form of flattery, over the years our competitors have tried to copy our designs, unfortunately they all cut corners. All pergolas feature 100% maintenance-free, commercial-grade vinyl components. All 2”x6” rafters have an aluminum “I” beams for long term rigidity and strength. (Our competitors use heavy steel that will rust or wood that is subject to termites and dry rot. In addition steel and wood inserts add substantial weight to your pergola, in many cases making it subject to the need for additional footings, which adds cost and time to your project.) We use galvanized steel inserts in every support post and, I repeat, aluminum “I” beams for each rafter. The rafters in our pergolas are locked to the supporting beams with routed through rafter supports, this adds great strength to our pergolas. (Our competitors use small “U” brackets that are simply screwed to the main beams to hold their rafters in place.)
