What is my new fence or structure made of?

Your new vinyl fence or vinyl structure is fabricated from 100% virgin vinyl. To prevent deterioration by the elements your new fence or structure is made of vinyl formulated with a high concentration of Titanium Dioxide and impact modifiers. This assures that your new fence or structure will never rot, rust, chip or splinter. There is no wood or polyethylene (an inferior vinyl substitute) in your fence or any structure manufactured by Finyl Vinyl Inc.

Will my vinyl fence or structure discolor and turn yellow?

No, To prevent discoloration our vinyl is formulated with a high percentage of Titanium Dioxide, this makes our vinyl color stable. Your vinyl fence or structure is designed to enhance your home for years to come and will keep substantially the same look and feel as when they were installed. Our products are backed by a “Limited Lifetime Warranty” against rotting, splitting and cracking.

Will weather affect my new fence or structure?

Under normal conditions, everyday environmental factors like sun, rain, snow and moisture should not negatively affect your vinyl fence or structure. Your fence or structure is engineered to withstand normal weather conditions.

How Strong is Vinyl?

Vinyl is considerably stronger and more flexible than wood or other conventional materials. Normal everyday use will not damage your vinyl structure; our vinyl is formulated with chemical impact modifiers that keep the material strong and flexible for the life of your fence and structure. Barring substantial physical damage, your new fence or structure will give you a lifetime of service.

How well will my new fence or structure withstand wind and snow?

Your new vinyl fence or vinyl structure is engineered with interlocking segments. This gives your new fence or structure amazing strength and durability. Our products have a proven track record; they have withstood winds in excess of 140 mph without suffering any damage.

Are there any safety issues that I should be aware of?

Unlike wood, vinyl will not splinter. Vinyl has a smooth surface and all fasteners are internal and out of reach, you won't have to worry about injuries from a rough surfaces or protruding hardware. An added benefit of vinyl is that there are no harmful chemicals such as Arsenic, Lead and Creosote, which may be present in wood structures.

Can I use my lawn mower and other garden power tools around my fence or structure?

Taking care to avoid physical damage to your vinyl fence or vinyl structure will assure a lifetime of enjoyment. Use caution, with any power assisted garden tool near your vinyl fence or structure. Power garden tools may mar the smooth finish of your structure. Avoid hitting your fence or structure with your lawn mower or weed-whacker.

Is it difficult to install my new vinyl fence or structure?

Your new vinyl fence or structure is designed and engineered to be easily installed. If you are purchasing one of our larger units, it may require two people to facilitate the handling of long structural members. Within the local Orange and LA Counties, professional installation is available.

Will I need special tools to install my fence or structure?

Your new vinyl fence or structure is designed for installation with basic hand tools. Power drivers will help make the installation easier. You will probably have all the tools needed already. Please review our “installation instructions” for further information.

Will I have to cut or modify any part of my new fence or structure?

Some minor modification may be required based on the layout and slope of your property. These modifications typically are; shortening posts or fence rails, and can be accomplished with a chop or skill saw. Other than these minor adjustments all parts are pre-routed and cut and need no further modification

Can I order my new fence or structure in any other color than white?

White is the most commonly ordered color since it coordinates with most any home color scheme. Should your home coordinate with light tan, this color is available.

Is my new vinyl fence or structure covered by a warranty?

Your vinyl fence or structure is backed by a Limited Lifetime Warranty against rotting, splitting, cracking and peeling.

What are the advantages of a vinyl fence or structure over a wood or aluminum fence or structures?

Fences and structures that are made of traditional materials require ongoing maintenance. This includes treatment for wood destroying insects, corrosion, pealing paint, dry rot, cracking and material replacement. This requires a substantial investment of time and money. The main reasons for making an investment in a vinyl fence or structure are great looks, easy installation and no maintenance. Vinyl fences and structures have no natural imperfections; there are no knots, warped material, uneven surfaces or exposed fasteners. Maintenance under normal circumstances is as simple as rinsing with a garden hose to keep the structure dirt free. With our products you can enjoy a fence or structure that will look and stay attractive from the moment that it is installed.

How does the cost of my new fence or structure kit compare with one made of wood?

The cost of a vinyl fence or structure is very competitive with one constructed of premium lumber, like, Kiln Dried Cedar or Heart Redwood. Unfortunately the cost of a fence or structure constructed of wood does not stop at construction. Wood fences and structures require substantial ongoing maintenance. This includes painting, every several years, wood replacement and treating for wood destroying insects. This alone can add up to many dollars spent over the life of a wood fences and structures. In addition, when repairing or painting a fence or structure made of conventional materials will most likely require removing any plants growing on it. Removing or cutting back the plants will require a long period for re-growth. Your vinyl fence or structure is not susceptible to the ravages of nature and requires little maintenance. How safe is vinyl for our environment?

Our vinyl fences and structures are manufactured from 100% virgin materials, this makes them 100% recyclable in the event that you ever decide to remove your fences and structures. Barring this, your vinyl fences and structures could outlast your home. Wood structures, unlike vinyl ones are treated in many cases with wood preservatives or paints and stains that may contain harmful chemicals. Treated wood in most cases is harmful to your health and the environment. Vinyl is not only a good choice from a construction viewpoint, but, it is good for our environment.

How do keep my vinyl fence or structure looking like new?

Most day to day dirt is easily removed with a spray from your garden hose. For more stubborn dirt, such as caked on mud or bird droppings you may have to use a sponge or rag to wipe down the unit. Using a mild soap product will help in some instances. Marks made by children's bike tires and crayons may be removed with a moderate amount of lacquer thinner. Use caution not to let the lacquer thinner sit to long as it can attack the vinyl. Be sure to wipe it off quickly and follow up with a water wash down.

How long after I order does it take to get my fence or structure?

Your new fence or structure will usually ship within 10 working days from receipt of your order. You will be notified when your product is shipped by e-mail or phone. This gives you time to arrange things at your home for the delivery.
